BORNEIRO MUSEUM. Borneiro, Spain.
A museum and research space for archaeologists working on the remains of a Celtic Castrum from 2,000 B.C. The design explores the idea of how contextual elements like history, ecology, topography, wind and sun patterns influence the design. This project was Jose’s MArch thesis.
Site plan. The new building follows the topography similar to the old Castrum, and overlooks estuaries and mountains.
Concept sketch. The south facade responds to sun directions and angles to maximize daylight. The north facade directs the views to specific landmarks of the territory.
